It’s all about sunshine and sunflowers at Coffee & Cards this last week. The weather has been scorching and we took a trip to a local Pick Your Own Sunflower Farm on Saturday. It was glorious!! We also have the brand new released Box Of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin kit too! I am SO excited about this beautiful, yellow box of sunshine! All of this bright, summery cheerfulness inspired me to pull out the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle to create this card. I don’t have any in my garden this year. Do you? Nevertheless, I thought it was perfect for the Inspire Create Challenge #076 with its garden theme.
Stamp the Sunflower in Sahara Sand ink and stamp off to give a barely there outline. Use sponge brayers with Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, SoftSuede and Crumb Cake ink pads to colour it in before cutting out with the die. Repeat with the leaves using Mossy Meadow ink. Did you notice that the outline was softer using the Sahara Sand ink than Black? Check out the FB live replay below to see how it’s inked.
The card is Sahara Sand and Whisper White. Stamp the sunflower inside in Sahara Sand . Pull a Happy Birthday stamp from your stash. Stamp in Daffodil Delight, along with the leaves in Mossy Meadow.
