Welcome to the Positive Inkers Blog Hop November! This month we have a sketch for you and it’s a great one. I am using the Basket Of Blooms stamp set. A newly discovered favourite for me and perfect for the sketch!
A sketch is a great jumping-off point to create a card. If you’ve never used one before, do have a go.
Here is our sketch. A great one, open to interpretation with lots of creative scope.
Basket Of Blooms Positive Inkers Blog Hop November
Night Of Navy and Whisper White are a favourite colour combination of mine, so some card in those colours and a sheet of the gorgeous papers from the Boho Indigo kit is my starting point.
Next, stamp the vase onto a scrap of Whisper White in Night Of Navy ink and colour in with a light night Of Navy Blend pen. No shading needed as it has detail in the stamping. Cut it out with your scissors. Such an easy shape makes it simple.
Decide where the vase will go and before attaching it in place stamp the leaf image in Pear Pizazz ink. A lovely soft green colour to contrast the blue and white. Add the vase using Dimensional foam pads to lift it. Stamp out three of the larger flowers in Night Of Navy onto a scrap of Whisper White and, punch out using the Small Blossom Punch which coordinates with this stamp set. Stamp a few of the smaller flowers in Night Of Navy before attaching the punched out flowers using Dimensional Foam Pads.
Add a little sparkle to the centre of the flowers using Rhinestone Gems and a little bakers twine to finish it off.
Choose a sentiment for the front and inside to fit your needs. These are from the Lovely You stamp set. The words and font are lovely!
You can just use the sketch as a starting point. One of the triangle images in the sketch is represented by the vase, and I have lost the other one. Otherwise, I feel like I have pretty much kept to it. I hope you like it and are inspired to have a go too!
I can’t wait to see what all the other Design Team members have come up with for their with this sketch.! There are some super talented people taking part so grab a cuppa and continue hopping down the list for some fabulous inspiration.
