Hello and welcome to the March Positive Inkers Blog Hop! March 1st also brings St David’s Day. So happy St David’s day to all my Welsh friends!
Our theme for the March Positive Inkers Blog Hop! this month is the January to June mini catalogue. Perfect for my Snail birthday card using the Snailed It bundle. The snails are so cute for a fun birthday card.
Have you used the Watercolour Pencils? They are great! Colour the snail in and use either the Blender Pen or the Water Colour painter to blend them.
How To Make It
This card uses one of the Basic White notecards. Layer some of the Snail Mail Designer Series Papers on top. Die-cut a piece of watercolour paper using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies – I use these dies all the time! Lay some colour down using the Water Colour Pencils – this one is Flirty Flamingo and create a watercolour wash. Add a little of the Silver Metallic Ribbon before adding your stamped, coloured, die-cut snail on Dimensional Foam pads. I couldn’t resist using this cute Happy Birthday Die from the Hey Birthday Chick bundle – I couldn’t resist those either!
A slightly different version of the same card. This snail has a grey body and I don’t know if you can see but his shell is glossy – I used some of the Shimmery Crystal Effects and let it dry before putting him on the card.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Design Team have come up with for the challenge.
There are some super talented people taking part so grab a cuppa and continue hopping down the list for some fabulous inspiration.
Sandy McCullough – Canada
Maheswari Raja-Guru – Australia
Elly Rijnvis – Netherlands
Karen Bird-Day – USA
You can see more projects using the cute snails here and here.
Just how beautiful are these butterflies?! The Butterfly Brilliance promotion is an early release from the brand new 20201- 2022 Annual Catalogue. You can get your hands on this early release from March 2nd in my online shop here.

Adorable cards, Kate! I always forget to use my watercolor pencils and this is great inspiration to get them on my desk. Love the mesh ribbon detail, too. Wow!
