Hello and welcome to my blog. It’s time for another Stampers Showcase and this month I am using the gorgeous Butterfly Brilliance for our Black & White Theme!
You can see how I made a version of this card during my Friday night live on YouTube last week. Check out the replay to see exactly how I made it. I hope you enjoy it. Please subscribe if you do!
The Butterfly Brilliance is one large stamp full of butterflies. Stamp and cut them out individually or use it as one large background stamp as I have done here. Make it colourful or use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for a black & white theme.
How To Make It
The gorgeous swallow tail is just one of the many detailed butterfly dies in the bundle. Isn’t it lovely?! Cut it out in Basic White card. Use the large die that cuts all the butterflies from the background stamp to just cut out out the one that matches the swallowtail in Basic Black. Layer both butterflies together using a little Tombow glue just down the middle. Add it to the front of the card with Dimensional foam pads for a little depth.
The “happy mail’ stamps are from the Perennial Petals stamp set. This one is retiring at the end of June so don’t miss it, it’s a great one! Emboss the happy (or your chosen word) onto black card with White embossing powder and cut around the word. The secret to this is to use sharp snips, leave a little border and move the card rather than your snips as you cut.
I can’t wait to see what all the other people taking part in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop have come up with for this theme. There are some super talented people taking part so grab a cuppa and hop around for some fabulous inspiration.
Next up is the fabulous Sue Vine from Australia !
