Humming Along And Brusho’s!

I have been playing with the new Humming Along stamp set so much lately, I can’t seem to put it down. I was inspired to get my Brusho’s out over the weekend and this stamp set with it’s lined images seemed perfect for it.

It’s a completely different look from my usual clean and simple style but I love water colouring and they are great fun to play around with. I love the tropical look it gives it. It so cold at the moment, I’m definitely dreaming of warm weather and holidays I think!

How I made it

I stamped the Hibiscus in clear Versamark ink on Watercolour paper and then heat embossed using White embossing powder. This gave an emboss resist outline for the flower. I then sprinkled on the smallest amounts of Brusho Pigment Powders in the general direction of the areas of the stamped image and the spritzed lightly with water. I then used my heat tool to dry it as I was too impatient to wait! I layered it onto Basic Gray card and onto a Whisper White base to make it pop. I also heat embossed the sentiment in White onto a square of Basic Gray card and added a little of the White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon underneath.

Have you tried Brusho’s? There are so many ways to use them. It is amazing to see those little particles of powdered pigment come to life when you add water to them.
