Kylie’s International Blog Highlights Winners Hop

Wow! When I entered Kylie Bertucci’s International Highlights December Blog challenge I never thought I would be voted to come in the top ten!! 
As a winner, I am blog hopping with Kylie and the other nine winners. So exciting! The theme we have is Thanks, and the gorgeous Painted Poppies stamp set is perfect to create a Thank You card.

This one is an easel card.

Use the dies in the Peaceful Poppies bundle to cut out both the poppies and the labels used to prop up the card. Stamp poppies inside your card too.

How It’s Made

The base is simply a tent fold card in Whisper White card 14.9 cm x 10.5 cm. Fold the front in half again. The front panel of the card is Mossy Meadow card 10.5 cm x 14.9 cm with the stamped front layer of Whisper White 10 cm x 14.3 cm.

On the front panel of Whisper White, stamp the poppy image repeatedly in Black memento ink. Two-step stamping on the poppies on the front gives a beautiful splattered effect. On a scrap of Whisper White card stamp two large, one small poppy and three leaves, Stamp over the top of the poppies with the “watercolour.” splodge stamp and again with the splatter stamp in Poppy Parade ink before cutting out with the dies. Colour in the leaves with Mossy Meadow light and dark Blend Pens and cut out with the leaf dies.

Assemble your card, Use Dimensional foam pads to arrange your die cut poppies and leaves. Attach the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around your front panel before you layer it on the Mossy Meadow card You can see I have tied a knot instead of a bow.

Inside The Card

Stamp your chosen sentiment onto Whisper White card and cut out using the smaller label die in the bundle. Cut out the larger label from the die set using Poppy Parade card and glue them together. Adhere to the inside of the base of the card using Dimensional foam pads to raise them up. Stamp a couple of the poppies in Black Memento at the top. Use some of the gorgeous painted poppies sequins to finish off the front of your card.

Decorate the back and front of your envelope too using the stamp set. The Poppy and splatter are very effective. I hope you like it! Do let me know in the comments.
