Painted Poppies & Pigment Sprinkles
There are so many ways to use Pigment Sprinkles giving you different effects. This is how I created this one.
Take your Whisper White card layer 9.5 cm x 13.8 cm, sprinkle the tiniest amount of the Pigment Sprinkles in Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight on to the paper. Just a few sprinkles of each. Use a water spritzer and holding it a little way back from your paper spritz the water until the crystals are dissolved. This will give you a beautiful watercolour background. A little of the Pigment goes a LONG way. Be sure to protect your surface. Wait for your background to dry before completing the card or use a heat tool to speed up the process.
Each background you create with the sprinkles is completely different.
Stamp the poppies in Versamark and heat emboss with black embossing powder to make them pop from the busy background and create a contrast. Stamp the sentiment in Melon Mambo from the Rooted In Nature stamp set onto Whisper White and cut out using a stitched oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Cut a scalloped oval in Basic Black card using the Layering Oval Dies. Assemble the card, popping the sentiment up on some Dimensional Foam Pads and adding a little Metallic Gold Thread behind. Add some gold sequins from the Peaceful Poppies Sequins to finish it off.
I hope you like it and might be inspired to have some fun with the Pigment Sprinkles too! Next up in the hop is the awesome Rochelle Laird – Smith. Grab a cuppa and click on the NEXT button to start hopping for a ton of inspiration!
