I love the font on this stamp! This is from the Rooted In Nature stamp set and can be found in the Annual Catalogue. You can create an ombre effect using Stampin’ Write Markers using pretty much any stamp!
This is such a simple and pretty card to make. Perfect for showcasing stamping with Stampin’ Write Markers instead of ink pads at my Ink Technique class.
Create An Ombre Effect
Colour the stamp with the side of the brush tip end of the marker onto Whisper White card. Start at the bottom and use Petal Pink, then Coastal Cabana and then Bermuda Bay. Use even strokes to create a stripe. Cover the stamp well with ink and make sure the colours don’t muddy.
Cut out using a stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies and layer with a scalloped oval in Petal Pink card from the Layering Oval Dies. Glue the two layers together and use Dimensional Foam Pads to adhere to the front of your Whisper White card panel. The card base is in Coastal Cabana. Attach some of the Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon before glueing the layers together. You can colour this ribbon too if you like with the markers. It’s very simple and effective.
Stamping using your Stampin’ Write Marker Pens gets much more use from your products and can stretch your stash a long way! You can purchase them in their colour families to spread the cost too!
We had a great time in class this month. Ink splattering, sponging, masking colouring, stamping and using Pigment Inks. You can see how we used the Pigment Inks with the Painted Poppies here. Watch out for another post from this class later this week.
