Hello and welcome! Spring has sprung! At least at Coffee & Cards this week I am making Daffodil Daydream cards. They are sure to make us feel that Spring is just around the corner which is exactly what we need as we have a big storm brewing here today. But at least we have some sunshine before it arrives and we also have lots of gorgeous daffodils in the shops right now. If you live in the UK we always have bunches of daffs for sale in the supermarkets for £1 from February onwards. A joyous bunch of affordable sunshine! This heralds Mothers Day in March and Easter soon after.
Daffodil Daydream Cards
The Daffodil Daydream stamps and dies bundle is gorgeous!! The stamps themselves are lovely with some perfect sentiments for Easter and Mother’s Day. Also, perfect to add in sentiments for other occasions too. Birthday, get well, just because, just a note ….
I absolutely love the ink splatter stamp! It adds an extra layer of interest. This card base is Pacific Point with a layer of Balmy Blue. Blue and Yellow are great friends on the colour wheel and I think it really works here. My favourite choice of colouring is the Stampin Blend alcohol based pens. They colour and blend so easily! You can check out which colours I use in the product list at the bottom or in the video at the top.
Interestingly this photo was taken in a better light today however the top photo’s are more true to colour in the cream shades of the paper and the vanilla card.
The die set in this bundle is amazing and I can’t wait to play with it more. as well as cutting out your stamped images you can build your daffodils!
And of course, the gorgeous Daffodil Afternoon Papers are free with £45 until the end of the month. Purchase the Daffodil daydream as a bundle with both stamps and dies and the papers would then be free! Win-win! I hope you like the cards and might have got some crafty inspiration!
