Hello and welcome! Does your crafty mojo ever go astray? After all the hubbub of Christmas and the new year celebrations mine certainly did! I find the best way out of a crafty slump is to get playing. Do something you love, just for yourself. With no expectation to produce a project for any other reason than for fun. What’s better than a fun Birthday Party Scrapbook Page ?
My first love with paper craft has been and will always be scrapbooking. The Lighter Than Air Suite is gorgeous! Full of hot air balloon images with a fantastic die set to match. The colours in the papers are pastel and spring like . A breath of fresh air when we are in a very dreary January.
Birthday Party Scrapbook Page

These are very old photo’s. My little girl is now 25! And all grown up. How time flies. Such fantastic memories – begging to be documented into an album. How to turn these hot air balloon dies into party balloons though?

It’s actually very simple. See the two hot air balloon dies? Just nest them inside one another and run them through your die cutting machine using Basic White card. I added a little washi tape to mine to keep them in place together.

Use the larger die again to cut the balloons from the double sided Designer Series Papers in the suite to back the balloon “frames”. Once you have decided the order, glue them together and add some of the bakers twine – also in this suite, for balloon strings.

The little flowers- just a couple of random ones from some in my stash, are stamped using matching ink pads and a couple of old small circle punches. Dies will work too of course. Add a few of the Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots from the suite to the flower centres.
Mini Alphabet Dies

We have a new alphabet die set!! Called the mini alphabet dies. These are fabulous! I’m so happy with them. Perfect for scrapbooking and cards and tags too. The main alphabet is one die! so there are no small pieces to lose. pass it through the die cutting machine ONCE and you have all you need. I have popped my unused alphas in a little clear envelopes to use again too!
All the products I’ve used to make this project are available here from my Stampin Up online shop. It’s more than my hobby. It’s my job. Thank you so much for supporting me.
