October’s scrapbooking class is all about Autumn—one of my favourite times of the year. I have tons of autumn photos I could use but I knew I had these lovely ones tucked away somewhere. These were taken about 16 years ago! Jacob was so tiny!
My scrapbooking Class this month is all about texture! Simple ways to add it to a scrapbook page. Ink splattering and stamping the background. However, how come I was the only one who splattered ink everywhere? And I was teaching it. lol! Adding texture to the papers is easy, I used a little distressing tool I picked up on Amazon or somewhere but using the edge of your scissors produces the same effect. Rough it up, curl it with your fingers – go to town! If you are a neat person and don’t usually like a torn edge, distressing like this is a great way to get out of your comfort zone. It looks intentional and “neater than tearing if you know what I mean.
I was very tempted to bring my sewing machine along to add stitches to our pages but keeping it simple we added faux stitches using an old stamp set or doodled it with a pen. Next time the sewing machine is coming!
It’s an easy page to put together and fun. The papers and sticker sheet are the Sweet Days Of Autumn. You can stamp the leaves and cut them out using the Autumn To Remember stamp set. – I love this one. It’s got great imagery and titles for pages but it’s really good for cards too.
I have a little, fun reel showing what we got up to in class. You can click here to see it!

October’s Scrapbooking Class
Some gorgeous pages were made!
You can find all the products I used for my layouts below, with links to purchase them from my Stampin Up Shop.
We also have a much larger kit available than the one I curated for my class. It’s beautiful, and has lots of different papers and die cuts. It will make at least 6 pages, with lots left over. You can see that one here.
