Well Dressed Birthday! Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog hop! The theme for the hop this month is It’s Your Birthday. Sometimes creating a birthday card for the chaps is a little tricky don’t you think?

Well Dressed Birthday!

It’s very simple to create using the Well Dressed stamp set with just two tones of grey. Stamp the images in Basic Grey ink on Whisper White card and cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Use a Smokey Slate card base. The Designer Series Paper Country Club works perfectly too! Add a pop of colour with a simple Crushed Curry rectangle and balmy blue edging. Create the scalloped edge using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Stamp some of the “tread” marks onto the base in Basic Grey before assembling.

Add some stamping and Happy Birthday inside as you wish.

Do you think you might have seen this card before? Well, you would be right! I CASED ( Copy and Selectively Edit) it from the Saleabration brochure! I love the monochrome! It’s completely different from my usual splashes of colour and I love it!

This is the original, I didn’t have the exact same sentiment stamp so I used the useful Perennial Birthdays stamp set for the Happy Birthday and used a rectangle instead of a circle. Don’t forget that your catalogues and brochures are also an ideas book and the samples are there for your inspiration. I will definitely be trying out a few more ideas I have in monochrome.
